  between 2 and 4 weeks notice – 50% of course fee will be charged.

Underground Pipeline explores how an organisation manages risk and the conflicting financial pressure. It highlights how making assumptions in asset management can impact the overall risk profile and safety performance while attempting to maintain supply.

Trish Kerin, Director, IChemE Safety Centre:

 After graduating with honours in mechanical engineering, Trish spent several years working in project management, operational and safety roles for the oil, gas and chemical industries.

 Trish has represented industry on many government committees related to process safety, and currently sits on the board of the Australian National Offshore Petroleum Safety and Environmental Management Authority (NOPSEMA) and the Mary Kay O'Connor Process Safety Center steering committee.

 Trish is a Chartered Engineer, a registered Professional Process Safety Engineer and Fellow of IChemE. Trish holds a diploma of OHS and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD) and a Fellow of Engineers Australia (FIEAust).

 In 2015 Trish was awarded the John A. Brodie Medal by Engineers Australia for her paper on Process Safety Competency and in 2018 she received the Trevor Kletz Merit Award from the Mary Kay O’Connor Process Safety Center for her work in improving process safety internationally.

Chemical Plant guides users through the principles of inherently safer design and their application highlighting the conflicting pressure of budget and production versus safety. It will challenge you to consider the different aspects of inherently safer design as you make decisions about the operations of a chemical plant.
