HAZOP Leader
The aim of this 2-day course is to train the course participants to become effective and efficient HAZOP review facilitators. HAZOP studies are the process industry’s accepted standard for critically examining planned or existing processes and procedures and identifying associated hazards to people, the environment or the equipment.
This course has the option of an additional 3 hours of one on one training with a senior consultant and can greatly lift your capabilities in a real-world setting. As an example, this could include reviewing your HAZOP procedure, supporting your HAZOP preparation, reviewing your HAZOP report, and supporting you in a HAZOP workshop. Students are assumed to be proficient in HAZOP participation and are wishing to further upskill their HAZOP experience.

- Risk Management model
- How to organise and prepare for a HAZOP
- How to structure and execute a HAZOP workshop
- How to facilitate effectively
- How HAZOP can fail
- HAZOP report critique
- HAZOP variants
- Equipment failure modes
- All attendees will get two workshop opportunities to facilitate a mock HAZOP and receive personalised feedback
